Sydney, May 17-18, 2012
Welcome to Creating Climate Wealth Summit, Australia 2011.
Creating Climate Wealth Australia is an ongoing project with an exclusive event in July, in Sydney, bringing together global experts from Carbon War Room (CWR) to collaborate with event participants – corporates, financiers, entrepreneurs, investors and experts – to generate the best wealth creating ideas, develop new income streams, and create scale and de-risk for financiers in Australia and Asia-Pacific.
Future Journeys collaborated with CWR to bring this Global Summit Series to Sydney in July 7-8, 2011 (Washington DC in May and London in September). Through CCWA’s global capacity, Australia will amplify its impact on international markets, cleantech developments and gigaton-scale carbon reductions.

What is Creating Climate Wealth
Last year Carbon War Room initiated the first Creating Climate Wealth (CCW) event in Washington, D.C. This brought together over 200 corporates, experts, entrepreneurs developing profitable gigaton-scale reduction solutions. Energy-related carbon emissions currently account for approximately 60%, or 30 billion tons, of emissions that are destabilising the climate. Under IPCC projections, carbon emissions from energy are estimated to increase to 35.4 billion tons in 2020; electricity generation is a large share of these emissions. In Australia, emissions from electricity generation account for 33% of our total. This offers enormous opportunities for Australia to innovate in this space and capture global markets.
This year, Carbon War Room is partnering with Australian Innovation and Strategic Foresight company Future Journeys to bring Creating Climate Wealth to Australia through its Innovation Lab and ongoing projects. We bring together global expertise and innovation methodology to create real value and actionable outcomes.
