Future Journeys corporate programs use an integrated set of methods with a focus on action learning as the most successful proven methodology for deep behavioural learning. We leverage this with a combination of coaching, 360° observation and assessment, and self-management processes. We have created programs that integrate with your organisation’s strategy and help you identify personal key points for integration. We give you Motivation for Innovation.
Integral to our processes is understanding your own learning (or meta learning), so our corporate programs help you identify your own favoured style of learning, your orientation to uncertainty (important now and increasingly in the future), how action learning works, how self and peer assessment and observation work, and help you develop insights into your personal values. This enables deep and life-long learning so that you leverage your training investment in this and every future learning opportunity you have.
We then build a core of knowledge through which to continue to grow and to build clearer strategic views of current and future operating environments. We work with coursework and your own experiences and any special projects that may be designed to ensure you get the most out of your learning through the opportunity to apply it immediately at work. The key to our learning is application, feedback and practice continuing through to mastery. We create safe learning environments and relationships where feedback can be given and accepted meaningfully. Through coaching, we mentor you the learner so that you develop deep understanding of how YOU learn and what motivates YOU to learn. We explore the links between your own values and the values of the organisation you work for, thus deepening the links and motivation for your organisation.
Personal performance, feedback and learning are linked inextricably to organisational performance, feedback and organisational learning. Future Journeys strengthens the key links between the personal and the organisational, enabling opportunities for true leaps in organisational performance and strategic alignment. Motivation for Innovation.
Over a year, participants can expect to build a workbook including both development plans and images of themselves, their organisation’s strategic system, a Foresight and Innovation toolkit and key points for intervention as they journey to the future. See the Future First then bring it with you back to the workplace.

INDIVIDUAL COURSES:
Emotional Intelligence Core Knowledge
(Introduction to Emotional Intelligence (1-day Graduates and Fast-Trackers)
What decides success at work? Work is increasingly complex and uncertain, and workplace change is constant. IQ is important but not enough. Technical skills are essential but not enough. How can we excel? How do excellent leaders excel? Emotional intelligence provides the answers: it captures the essence of ‘soft skills’, the competencies that make excellent leaders. People are the core of your business. Understanding how to deal with your clients, staff and advisors and get the most out of your employees in fruitful and creative relationships can save you thousands of dollars every year in recruitment, training, tendering and proposal costs. This is just the tip of the iceberg as you start to accrue the enormous benefits in customer loyalty (as they recommend you to all their colleagues and friends) and staff motivation.
This is the program to develop further your emotional intelligence competencies. It is experiential. You start by learning about EI but mostly you will be doing EI. Deep learning is best achieved by immersion, experimentation and simulation. In order to retain what you learn in the workshop you will be given opportunities to practice relevant competencies within a safe environment. You will build your knowledge and competencies experientially. The workshop is the beginning of a process, a Journey to the Future.
The 2-day Management program Enhance Emotional Intelligence: Self, Team, Others starts with the Core Knowledge then extends these ideas further. It works on identifying your current strengths and the areas you want to develop. You will identify then work on the specific competencies you need in your workplace right now. You will work with real simulations of your work environment to practice the competencies you need to excel with your current projects, teams and situations. You will also identify and work with the future so that you can put plans in place to work for today and tomorrow. The workshop then extends this knowledge around the teams you work with so you can identify and assist development of your team and business unit.
The 2-day Executive program Emotionally Intelligent Leadership builds on the Core Knowledge then extends these ideas into the realm of the organisational. It addresses first self, then others, then how to build an emotionally intelligent culture. Participants get opportunities to examine EI competency areas of greatest priority within the organisation and how to focus organisational strategy to those areas. As pictures of the future begin to build, executives can consider whether the EI focus will change and how that can be accommodated into their organisational strategy system. Spend time on yourself. Understanding the self is the foundation for understanding others. Understand your own motivations and how to influence others. Reflect on how others perceive you and how you can best use this knowledge to build allegiance to your
