Life Like Robots
Candy Sidner, a competing roboticist has an Albert Einstein Robot which is very realistic and lifelike. Their skin is textured and realistic and this poses a threat to polarizing the market. Hanson, the artist who used to work for Disney says that he flirts with being too realistic, but this has the possibility of reducing the market as “you will have some people who love it and some people who will be disturbed”. These robots are posing an identity threat to some people due to their realistic and lifelike appearance.
